Is there a form of “shortcut” file in Linux that unlike sym and hard links
...will literally only provide a quick means to open the path either in console or file manager -- not actually in any way link in a significant way to the other directory, wherein you could make them without concern for the complications that might arise or the trickiness of when and how you can delete them?

(1) Have you ever read a book whose title was “It was a Dark and”, and then page 1 began “stormy night”? Of course not. Please use the title box for a title for your question, not just the first line of the question body. (2) It sounds like you are talking about symbolic links. What “complications” and “trickiness” are you talking about?
