Have you installed atom classic in Ubuntu 18.04?
First question ever on Stackexchange.
While following a video tutorial on Linux bash scripting, the teacher uses atom for editor.
I am familiar with vi, I never tried any other editor, but atom seems interesting.
Getting to the point. When I did:
*sudo snap install atom*
I got the message:
error: This revision of snap "atom" was published using classic confinement and thus may perform
arbitrary system changes outside of the security sandbox that snaps are usually confined to,
which may put your system at risk.
If you understand and want to proceed repeat the command including --classic.
I didn't want to take any chances, since I'm working on consolidating my Linux knowledge to be a sysadmin, but I'm far from there yet.
What would you do/suggest?
Thanks!
Philippe
P.S. : I hope my question isn't too wordy.
