How to write functions in shell script?
I have a code which checks whether the files has been uploaded in the S3 bucket daily...The files will be uploaded on a specific time...but if its not uploaded i need to check again after half an hour for about 3 times ...This can be done if i included my script in the function and i should include sleep or wait also....So that if the file is not uploaded it will again call the function again half an hour...But i didn't know how to write the function for my script...Please help me... Below is my code
aws s3 ls "s3://project/css/ |
sort -rh |
awk -v '{ print $3, $1, $4 }' >>"test.txt"
Please help me to include my script in the function and it should check for the condition like test.txt has any content in it...If test.txt has any content code should exit...If test.txt is empty the function should be called again after an hour..
linux bash aws bash-functions
