How shall I start Vino server (possibly after ssh to the server host)?
I am following https://askubuntu.com/a/530196/1471 to start vino server.
(By the way, not sure if related, I had some security problem before after running the commands. See https://askubuntu.com/questions/1067305/is-my-vino-server-being-attacked)
$ export DISPLAY=:0
$ gsettings set org.gnome.Vino enabled true
No such key “enabled”
$ gsettings set org.gnome.Vino prompt-enabled false
$ gsettings set org.gnome.Vino require-encryption false
$ /usr/lib/vino/vino-server
Will the commands still work if I run them from another machine
after ssh into the machine from the other machine? In particular,
shall I modify
$ export DISPLAY=:0
?
What do the three
gsettings
commands try to do respectively?Shall I modify
gsettings set org.gnome.Vino enabled true
, because ofNo such key “enabled”
?Although I don't know what it meas, shall I change
gsettings set org.gnome.Vino require-encryption false
to gsettings set org.gnome.Vino require-encryption true`, for more security?
Thanks.
ssh vnc display vino
