How does one source a *.sql file with pymysql?
Question:
How does one source
a file with pymysql
?
Background:
I have a file which holds many tables called update.sql
and want to use pymysql
to push into the my_database
database.
I can do it in long format:
mysql -h myabc_sydney.com -u my_user -p my_password
- establish
connection
mysql> USE my_database
- select themy_database
database
mysql> source update.sql
-push the update.sql into the
my_database
database
I want to do all three steps with pymysql
. How could I do this? This because I would like write a python script that does this everyday via cron.
