How to track a file for processes that use this file
I have a script, that listens for file /lib/modules/4.10.0-19-generic/kernel/drivers/media/usb/uvc/uvcvideo.ko
and if the file is been accessed then runs the lsof command:
#!/bin/sh
inotifywait -mrq -e access /lib/modules/4.10.0-19-generic/kernel/drivers/media/usb/uvc/uvcvideo.ko | while read line;
do
sudo lsof +c 0 /lib/modules/4.10.0-19-generic/kernel/drivers/media/usb/uvc/uvcvideo.ko >> uvcvideo.log
done
but if the file is accessed for example by command sudo modprobe uvcvideo
, uvcvideo.log is empty, lsof does not catch up. How to catch processes that access a file, in real time?
shell real-time
