ACL permissions / group not getting permissions
I am trying to get ACL permissions to work the easy way by allowing groups specific access on files and folders.
However my system is ignoring group permissions entirely.
My setup: Debian 8
user testuser from an ldap server in local testgroup
Trying to write in folder test
testuser comes from an ldap server
Group membership
testgroup:x:1003:testuser
Following permissions are set:
testuser@downloader:/storage/Filme/$ getfacl test/
# file: test
# owner: root
# group: users
# flags: -s-
user::rwx
group::r-x
group:defaultsamba:rwx
group:testgroup:rwx
mask::rwx
other::r-x
User can display folder contents and read (ie copy files to another folder)
When writing in the folder the user gets a permission denied error.
Once I specifically allow testuser rwx on the directory, the user can write.
Can somebody point me into a direction of what I am missing?
debian permissions acl
