How to detect when NetworkManager loses Wi-Fi connection?

0

What is the best approach to monitor NetworkManger connections and detect when the Wi-Fi connection has dropped?

My goal is to attempt reconnecting after a certain number amount of time disconnected, or signal to the user that they need to take action. To do this, I need to be able to detect that NetworkManager has lost its connection.

I've looked at using the nmcli monitor command, but I'm not sure if there is another approach that would be better suited.
